The ‘Guide to the Faith and Life of Evangelical Churches‘ is a 40-page (A5) booklet which has been widely used in North Africa. It presents the essentials of Christian doctrine and church life simply and systematically, with references and study questions. As such it forms a mini-handbook. It is intended for new and older believers, but it can also be used evangelistically for anyone really wanting to know what Christians believe.
Where there are differences among Christians on secondary issues (e.g. baptism), these are explained, and an attempt is made to be firm on the essentials, and only the essentials.
The first part of the ‘Guide’ – ‘The Faith of Evangelical Churches’ – forms the basis of our course DOCT201. The material in the second part – ‘The Life of Evangelical Churches’ – is covered in our course EGLI201.
